We had a delightful tour with Keith from Teckk. He is amazingly knowledgable. He is a lifetime Hoonah resident and
can tell you who lives in every cabin you pass by. He was always stopping to pick plants and tell us about them,
skunk cabbage, berries, mushrooms, etc. He took us way off the beaten path on logging roads, and waved to the
dozer operators as we went by. And finally he took us to The Office Bar, introduced us to Mary the owner who gave
us a big hug and then served us fresh crab that had been swimming hours before. You will love him!
And oh, yes, he DID find a bear for us.

"...We received the fish this week. Thank you for wrapping, and sending them down. We had a great time during the
whole time we were there. Thanks to both you and Max for making it fun. We will definitely be back.
Thanks again,

Keith,
Just wanted to drop you a line and tell you how much I enjoyed the tour you took us on Aug. 3rd. I was with the
group from Mississippi. We all had a great time seeing the bears. We talk about being with you more than anything
we did the whole trip. I'm trying to send you more customers from Mississippi. Hope you and your family are doing
well and I cant tell you how much I appreciated everything you did for us.
Sincerely,
B. H.
Edna,
I am so sorry that I did not get to meet you. I wanted to thank you for the wonderful Root beer Cake and we loved the
icing. We all agreed that your cake was the best dessert that we had on our entire vacation. Also, the whale
watching was the highlight! If we ever go back to Alaska we will skip the cruise and go whale watching and enjoy the
land. That was our first and last cruise! We did not like all of those people! I will email you some of the great pictures
we got when I figure out how to do that.
Again thanks for the cake and the wonderful hospitality, would you be willing to send me the cake recipe and the
icing? I would like to make it for our family.
Say hi to everyone! K. C.
WOW! – What a time we had with Keith! Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable about the area and sport, but has
lots of fun doing it with a multitude of stories to share. Keith is able to focus on many things at once which also
makes the trip exciting. His number one priority is to show us a good time and while doing so we catch Halibut, take
pictures of the Orca Whales, watch the Bald Eagles fish from the bay, while sneaking up in the boat on a female
bear with her two cubs, running on the beach… all within a half hour!
Keith's family is from Hoonah, likewise, he has a tremendous amount of first-hand knowledge of the Tlingit traditions.
These traditions are tied directly to the land from which he fishes, hunts, traps, crabs, hikes and boats. With each
bay and inlet, Keith will share about the history found there. When you end your day with Keith you will feel like you
had a true "Alaskan experience." He is much more than an "outfitter and guide." He is a true Alaskan man tied to his
state with the passion of the "Last Frontier." ~ Gwendolen Ashcraft
The bear picture was taken without telephoto... we were close. The halibut fishing was, as always, great... we did get
bigger ones but didn't have the camera handy at the time. Have fished with Keith for seven years and have always
done well to great!! Always entertaining... from the whales spouting, killer whale pods, otters, bears, deer, and of
course the salmon and halibut... even some "other bottom fish". I not only recommend "TECKK" for fishing,
sightseeing and hunting, but have taken guests up to enjoy it with me.
